Invited by the organiser, the REDD Research and Development Center Japan, part of the Forest and Forest Products Research Institute of Japan, on Monday 20th January Niall Marriott, CPC’s Business Development Director, gave one of two keynote addresses at the Experts’ Symposium held as part of the international conference, “REDD-plus Start-up Year 2020 – Road Map to Result-based and Transferable Outcomes for Sustainabe Development“, which took place on Tuesday 21st January 2020. Held at the University of Tokyo’s Ito Hall, both saw representatives of government, business and civil society from around the world come together to review current progress and trends in REDD-plus, in particular its potential to help developing countries mobilise finance in support of their commitments under The Paris Agreement and toward delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals.
